Directed by Ashkan Rahimi, Zero is an experimental short film created for a directing and screenwriting workshop. Developed as a learning-focused project, it was produced on a minimal budget, highlighting creativity, visual storytelling, and artistic exploration.

I was responsible for cinematography, lighting, editing, and color grading, crafting the film’s visual tone and cinematic style. The team included William Narcis as first assistant director, Kimia Shams as script supervisor, Damogh as sound recordist, Rozhin Azandeh as makeup artist, and Saleh Shahbazi as the lead actor.
Zero tells the story of a character caught in the moral and civic dilemma of whether to vote in the Iranian presidential election. The film explores themes of personal choice, societal expectation, and internal conflict, presented through a visually expressive and thought-provoking cinematic approach.
