Ayeneh or Love in the Years of Hijab

Ayeneh is an independent short film shot in Shiraz, Iran, during the COVID‑19 pandemic.
The project was filmed over 12 days with a limited budget and involved over 200 crew members.
Captured with a Blackmagic 6K Pro, the film was produced in two versions: 15 and 25 minutes, with the 15‑minute festival version fully edited and color graded by me.
As the cinematographer, I was responsible for 90% of the lighting design.
Despite its modest resources and challenging production during the pandemic, the film represents a strong collaborative effort and a cinematic portrayal of love and reflection under cultural restrictions.
